Hey beauties, today I will be reviewing the Maybelline baby skin primer, but first let us talk about face primers in general.

They boost your makeup coverage, help products wear better and they are good at making your foundation last longer. If you are a person who loves to take photos or selfies then you definitely need a primer in your makeup collection as they are good at mattifying your face. Some foundations tend to leave your skin dry, it is a good idea to apply primers first to moisturize your skin. Primers are made for different types of skin so it is important for my beauties with dry skin to use primers with hydrators and for those with oily skin to look for lighter options. If you have large pores and wrinkles then primers are for you as they are good at concealing pores and wrinkles. What I love about primers is that they do not contain harmful components that could clog your pores and cause pimples.

I have been using this primer for months now and I must say that I am in love with it, it is a drugstore product and it's affordable. You do not need a lot of product to cover your face, a little goes a long way. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and silky and makes my pores less noticeable. The primer is clear and unscented and it leaves my skin feeling soft like baby skin.
My face does not breakout a lot and it is combination skin, so I tried this product on my friend to test it on oily skin. She would breakout whenever she applied foundation without a primer, when she used primer before applying foundation she did not breakout. This means that this primer is for all skin types but I do not recommend it for those with very oily skin, there are other options that you can use. This primer works perfectly for normal to dry skin and it causes no breakout. It helps makeup stay on and keeps you matte all day.

How to apply primer:
1. Clean your skin so there is no excess dirt on your face
2. Smear a bit of gel (a little goes a long way)
3. Rub on your face especially the t-zone
4. Let it sit for a few seconds
5. Apply foundation and the rest of the makeup
